Administration of IV Medications

For patients, there are times when some medications must be given by an intravenous (IV) injection or infusion. This means they are sent directly into your vein using a needle or tube. The term “intravenous” means “into the vein.” IV medication is often used because it prevents “overdosage.” For instance, in some situations, people must receive medication instantly. This includes emergencies such as a heart attack, stroke, or poisoning. In these instances, taking pills or liquids by mouth may not be fast enough to get these drugs into the bloodstream. IV administration quickly sends a medication directly into the bloodstream.

IV Therapy

IV vitamin therapy may include combinations of vitamin C, B12, magnesium, calcium or glutathione, a master antioxidant, and many others. The IVs typically take anywhere for 15 to 30 minutes to administer and patients can pick up in their daily lives immediately after. Our IV therapy methods are a great alternative to our patients to get the vitamins they need efficiently.
